Our History
Hotel Rjúkandi is family eco-friendly business. From 1998 the family has operated restaurant at Vegamot – Snaefellsnes.
The summer of 2013 the accommodation was built with the intention to improve the business and give a solution to many people who was requesting for rooms.
This delightful hotel near Stykkishólmur, Snæfellsjökull and Borgarnes offers 13 rooms, each with private facilities with shower.
Build from innovative materials using sustainable practices, the hotel blends respect for its natural surroundings with stylish Scandinavian design and consummate comfort.
Our Vision
Being eco-friendy in Snaefellsnes: We are taking care about the cleaning products, recycling and using the least amount of power possible.
To heat the Hotel and Restaurant, we use the hot water that it comes from the ground around.
Guests are invited to a Scandinavian breakfast buffet and offered free parking facilities, to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
The size of the hotel makes the service more personal and the guests enjoy private and peacefulness.
All this work means nothing without your help, so it is important that you help us by recycling and keeping the environment clean.
